5 -26 -05 Visually inspected fillet welds on steep pile cap brackets. Welds were 1/4-inch, clean
even with no porosity.
5 -27 -05 All portions of residence had been lifted to within about one inch of level. Three
anchors were load- tested in a manner consistent with the testing procedure as
described in the project plans and specifications. All anchors tested met or
exceeded anchor acceptance criteria.
7 -12 -05 Visually inspected the process for installation of reinforcing steel. The process of
consistent with the directions for installation of the epoxy as provided in the epoxy
manufacturer's printed instruction.
7 -12 -05 Ties holding vertical walls upright. It appeared that the work accomplished by the
contractor was consistent with the intent of the engineering.

TERMS
Client recognizes that construction observations provided by Engineer are techniques which may
reduce the risk of construction defects, deficiencies, or omissions arising during or after
construction. Services performed by Engineer do not constitute a warranty or guarantee of any
type. Even with diligent construction monitoring by Engineer, construction defects, deficiencies,
or omissions in the Contractor's work may exist. In all cases, Client and/or Contractor shall
assign the Contractor the responsibility for the quality and completeness of the work and for
adhering to plans and specifications. Engineer's work or failure to perform same shall not in any
way excuse any contractor, subcontractor, or supplier from performance of its work in accordance
with the contract documents.
Engineer will provide its professional services to Client with that degree of care and skill
ordinarily exercised under similar circumstances by members of its profession. This
representation is in lieu of other warranty or representation, either expressed or implied. It is also
understood and agreed that statements made in Engineer reports are observations based on
technical judgments, and should not be construed to be conclusive representations of fact. If
conditions different from what are indicated in the reports come to the Client's attention after
receipt of the reports, it is recommended that Client contact Engineer immediately to authorize
further appropriate evaluation.
Engineer's work shall not include determining, supervising or implementing the means, methods,
techniques, sequences or procedures of construction. Engineer shall not be responsible for
evaluating or reporting job conditions related to health, safety or welfare.
