Re: Greenway Town Center, Storefront Retrofits
(12260 and 12266 SW Scholls Ferry Road)
To whom it may concern:
I have been advised by our contractor that a question has arisen during our replacement of the
storefronts at the above referenced location - specifically, whether or not the window areas will
be used for display, since this will affect whether or not tinted glass will be required.
In a retail environment, such as Greenway Town Center, typically a majority of small shop
tenants utilize their storefront window areas for display purposes. Using the two subject spaces
as examples, the existing tenant in unit 12266, NW Sew & Vac, is currently using the window
area for the display of vacuums and sewing machines, and the previous tenant in 12260, And
Books Too!, also used the storefront for display of merchandise. Since there is significant
"turnover" in retail space, it can be expected that, even if a particular new tenant chooses not
to use this marketing method, the next one, most likely, will.
As such, we respectfully request that the tinted glass requirement be waived.
Thank you for your consideration.
V tuly yours,

Re: Storefront upgrade
I wanted to apologize in advance for getting the cart in front
of the horse on this project. I relied on second hand information
regarding replacement of existing storefronts. I hope that I have
not caused you or the city any inconvenience.
The storefront replacement at Greenway Town Center is meant to
bring the existing space up to center standards for appearance.
The previous storefront was of wood and siding construction with
two windows, similar to a residential look.
The new storefront (details on following page) will upgrade to
match the rest of the center in both style and appearance. I hope
that it is satisfactory, as the space in question is currently
exposed to the elements. Installation had been scheduled for
today. I have hence put the project on hold until everything is in
order. I would like to thank you in advance for bringing this
situation to our employee's attention. If you should need to reach
me, please contact me at #557 -3104 or my pager # 790 -4776.
Sincerely,
per`
