CONTRACTOR ACTIVITY, OBSERVATIONS, CONCLUSIONS, RECOMMENDATIONS:
I made this site visit as requested by Don Durst to observe the conditions of subgrade for single family homes
that will be constructed on Lots 30 and 37.
At the time of my visit, thecontractor had excavated lots 30 to 37 to subgrade elevations. The footing
contractor was in the process, of placing forms within lot 30.
I observed and probed the subgrade using a 1/2 -inch diameter steel foundation probe. The subgrade in both of
the lots was very stiff to hard native silt.
Based on observation and probing, the subgrade in both lots has been prepared in general conformance with
the project specifications and my recommendations and will perform as intended to support single family home
foundations. The areas are ready for placement of footing forms and reinforcement.
