Dear Rick
This letter is in response to your request for approval of a 140 square foot accessory
structure building. The Director has approved this structure finding that it meets the
approval standards of Section 18.144 of the Tigard Community Development Code.
Because the structure would be built on a site that is in excess of 2.5 acres, different
development code standards apply than those I outlined with you earlier. The structure
can be up to 1,000 square feet in size, 18 feet in height, and must comply with the
• setback standards of the principal structure in the zoning district.
The structure as proposed does not encroach into the five-foot side and 15 -foot rear
yard setbacks. The structure also does not exceed 18 feet in height or 1,000 square
feet in size. Therefore, it meets the requirements of the applicable development code
sections of the zone for this type of use.
Please submit a copy of this letter of approval with any request for building permits.
