The submitted plans are approved subject to the following. 1. Smoke detectors shall be installed in return air systems with a design capacity greater than 2000 cfm. Upon activation, the smoke detector shall shut down the air distribution system. Smoke detectors shall be connected to a fire alarm system and shall activate an audible and visible alarm at a constantly attended location. Smoke detectors required by this section shall be installed in accordance with NFPA 72. The required smoke detectors shall be installed to monitor the entire airflow conveyed by the system including return air and exhaust or relief air. Access shall be provided to smoke detectors for inspection and maintenance. 606. OMSC 2. Equipment and appliances regulated by this code requiring electrical connections shall have a positive means of disconnect in accordance with the Electrical Code. 301.7 OMSC 6. Manufacturer's installation instructions shall be available on the jobsite at the time of inspection. 304.1 OMSC 7. Ducts shall be supported with approved hangers at intervals not exceeding 10 feet or by other approved duct support systems designed in accordance with the Building Code. Flexible and other factory-made ducts shall be supported in accordance with the manufacturer's installation instructions. 603.10 OMSC 8. The building or structure shall not be weakened by the installation of mechanical systems. The cutting, notching and boring of framing members shall comply with OMSC sections 302.3.1 through 302.5.3. 9. Appliances shall be accessible for inspection, service, repair or replacement without removal of permanent construction. 306.1 OMSC 10. Manufacturer's installation instructions shall be available on the jobsite at the time of inspection. 304.1 OMSC 11. Condensate from cooling coils or evaporators shall be collected and discharged to an approved plumbing fixture or disposal area. 307.1 OMSC 12. Mercury Thermostats. The State of Oregon prohibits the installation of thermostats that contain mercury in commercial and residential buildings. "In accordance with ORS 455.355, the disposal of thermostats that contain mercury shall be in accordance with programs established by thermostat manufacturers, their representative or distributor, or by delivery to sites that will ensure that the mercury does not become part of the solid waste stream or wastewater." - Approved Plans: 1 set of approved plans, bearing the City of Tigard approval stamp, shall be maintained on the jobsite. The plans shall be available to the Building Division inspectors throughout all phases of construction. 106.4.2 OSSC Premises Identification: Approved numbers or addresses shall be provided for all new buildings in such a position as to be plainly visible and legible from the street or road fronting the property. When submitting revised drawings or additional information, please attach a copy of the enclosed City of Tigard, Letter of Transmittal.
