INSPEcTIQf'( 013)ECTiY_j Please note that the following qualification is essential to Onc interpretation of this inspection report; DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE INSPECTED MEMBERS WERE IN PLACE IN A STRUCTURE, MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE ALL FACES AND BOTH ENDS OF EACH MEMBER, THIS REPORT, THEREFORE, DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A CERTIFICATION OF GRADE OF THE MATERIAL HEREIN DESCRIBED, NOR DOES IT PERTAIN TO ACCEPTANCE OR REJECTION OF THE REFERENCED STRUCTURE. THE ONLY OBJECTIVE OF THIS INSPECTION WAS TO MAKE THE BEST POSSIBLE OBSERVAI IONS - UNDEfi THE CIRCUMSTANCES - COMPARING THE VISIBLE WOOD MEMBERS TO DEFINED GRADE CATEGORIES, IN ORDER TO IDENTIFY THOSE PIECES NON - CONFORMING TO SAID GRADE CATEGORIES. One (1) 2 x 8 -14' Lower roof joist member The fifth full 14' length member from the South end Northward exhibited a split. One (1) 2 x 8 -14' Lower roof joist member The seventh full 14' length member from the South end Northward exhibited a break. One (1) 2 x 8 -14' Lower joist member The twentieth full 14' length mornber from the South end Northward exhibited an oversize edge knot. One (1) 2 x 8 • 14' Lower roof joist member `) f he forty -tirst full 14' length member from the South end Northward exhibited a saw cut. All of the above described five (5) members exhibited characteristics that would exclude them from the grade of No. 2 Structural Joists and Planks. Each piece was identified with an "X" In red lumber crayon at the location of the characteristic observed and marked "X" on the brick wall at the rncrrrber location. None of the remaining one hundred -two (102) members inspected exhibited characteristics that would exclude them from the grade of No. 2 Structural Joists and . Planks. None of the Glu Lams exhibited any delamination or unsound wood.
