During the final site plan review by the City of Tigard Building Department, Robert Poskin outlined a number of fire code standards that needed to be :met prior to the issuance of a building permit Since the Nextel shelter is a relatively small equipment building, Robert Poskin recommended that we install a fire suppression system inside the shelter. • Nextel's standard dry system is an FM -200 Clean Agent Suppression System which is an environmentally acceptable replacement for Halon 1301. Thisis an automatic fire detection system that has ionization, or a combination of ionization and photoelectric smoke detectors, that when alarmed, will discharge a gas extinguishing agent into the shelter (please see attached manufacturers specifications and shop drawings).
