THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: The Council finds that a resolution wars adopted by the Council on February
9, 1981 , relating to the vacation of the hereinafter dcsicrf,bed portion

WHEREAS, the area described on the attached sheet headed. "Exhibit A",
and by this reference made a part hereof, is a portion of a plat known
as Kneeland Estates I, within the corporate boundaries of the City of
Tigard, Washington County, Oregon; and
WHEREAS, it appears to be in the public interest that the said area
be vacated and replatted for development and use; and
• WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 271 .080 ORS, the property owner has

petitioned for the initiation of vacation proceedings as authorized in
Chapter 271 ORS.
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Tigard, as follows

WRITTEN NARRATIVE
we are requesting minor land partionin g of the above named project to permit
construction of zero lot line housing(duplexes and triplexes) on a minimum
of 5,000 5q. ft. per unit. We are also submitting together with this application
a conditional use application that complies with the comprehensive plan in
an R-7 zone.
There is a need for quality housing at affordable prices in this community '
which can only be accomplished by these or similar concepts at today's high
costs.
There is a slight increase in density resulting in better utilization of utilities
and public services,
Very little additional impact will be felt on adjacent sites o r neighborhood
activities.
This site is newly developed subdivision designed with the papa-
. lhil ity of handling these addtional dwelling units in both traffic and utii tty
areas.
` Police, fir protection, schools, parks and transportation can handle the
small additional density. (original 82 lots, proposed new 26 adt,itional lots,
for a total of 108 dwelling units.

The subdivision application for Kneeland Estates II, is being
processed and the final action date will be October 30, 1979.
I cannot find any record of application for Kneeland Estates
III. Therefore, a subdivision application, a fee of $250.00 plus
$5.00 per lot and seven copies of the preliminary plat with other
documentation as needed is required to process approval for the
