Subject: Electrical Plan Review
The plans submitted were reviewed for conformity with the 1993
National Electrical Code (NEC) and the State of Oregon
Electrical Code. The following was noted:
1. The 1993 NEC is the minimum electrical requirement.
2. The service grounding electrode conductors will terminate
on a (UFER) rebar as per the NEC, Article 250. The water
lines and building steel should be bonded to the
grounding system.
3. Restricted Energy Electrical Permits required for fire
alarm, security, and landscape irrigation systems.
4. This office will need the listing information on the
meter bank (18 unit) equipment as shown on 1 /E3.1.
5. All electrical service feeder cables from meters to
panels will be rated at a minimum of 125 amp, 4 wire.
6. The use of Nonmetalic Cable (NM or NMC) depends, at the
time of Rough -in, on the building meeting the definition
of NEC 336 -4 for a basement.
7. Units C -1 will need another plug at the end of the
kitchen bar.
8. Recessed fixtures will need to be listed (UL) for use in
fire - resistant boxes.

9. Units A -i need an additional floor level plug in
hall /living room side of kitchen counter as per NEC 210-
52 (h) .
10. In Units A -1 and Units B -1, the dining room plugs will
not be considered adjacent to the kitchen.
