Pacific Hwy., Suite C 6089C- 207 -004 Dear Doctor White: This is a Fire and Life Safety Plan Review and is based on the 1988 editions of the Fire and Life Safety Code (UBC), Mechanical Fire and Life Safety Code (UMC), Uniform Fire Code (UFC), and other local ordinances and regulations. Plans are conditionally approved subject to the following items: 1. Address Required: The tenant space number must be prominently displayed on the street front where it is readily visible to drivers and officers of responding fire apparatus and other emergency vehicles. UFC Sec. 10.208, Note: If address is already posted in a clear conspicuous manner, please disregard this item. 2. Fire Extinguisher Requirements: Not less than one (1) approved fire extinguisher(s) with a rating of not less than ( *) shall be provided for each ( * *) square feet of floor area or fraction thereof. The travel distance to an extinguisher from any portion of the building shall not exceed 75 feet. See requirements in National Fire Protection Association Standard 10 -1. 3. Approved Plans on Job Site: One set of approved plans bearing the stamps of the building department issuing the construction permit and this office must be maintained on the project site throughout all phases of construction and must be made available to building and fire inspectors for reference during required construction inspections. UBC Sec. 303 4. Required Occupancy Certificate: Prior to the use and occupancy of the project (space), a certificate of occupancy or other written instrument of approval must be obtained from the building department issuing the construction permit.
