BUP2003- 00009
The City of Tigard Building Division and Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue have
'reviewed the proposal to add security gates to the main entrance and exit at the
Bi -Mart store at the above.referenced address. The submitted plans are .
approved subject to the following conditions.
1. The gates are to be used only during non - business hours and the store is
not open to the public.
2. A knox box shall be provided at the security gates for use by Tualatin
Valley Fire & Rescue personnel. This box shall be approved by this
agency.
•
3. When the gates are locked the three additional exits from the store shall
remain openable from the inside without the use of a key or any special
knowledge or effort. These are provided for employees that may work
after regular business hours.
If you have any questions regarding these conditions, please feel free to contact
me at (503) 718 -2448.

Attn: Gary Lampella
Gary, to help you understand our procedure if the security doors
are installed; Management would un -lock the entrance and exit doors and
roll up. They would then enter store and turn off security system. Security
doors will remain unlocked, open, and rolled up during all hours that the
building is occupied.
When our store is un- occupied our security and fire system is
activated. Any movement or noise inside the store will automatically notify
Sonitrol our fire and security System Company. Any reduction of water or
air pressure through the flow switch would notify Sonitrol.
Our building has a fully operative sprinkler system and all
emergency exits are marked with illuminated signage.
I hope this answers any questions and we are allowed to proceed.
Thank you for your corporation,
Curtis Sheets
