Correspondence BROOKPARK HOMES, INC. 11080 SW ALLEN BLVD., SUITE 600 BEAVERTON, OR 97008 November 24, 1997 • Mr. Bob Poskin Plans Examiner City of Tigard 13125 SW Hall Blvd. Tigard, OR 97223 Re: Building Permit No. BUP 97 -0384 Conversion of Residence to Office SW 72nd and Cherry St. Dear Mr. Poskin: Enclosed is structural engineering calculations from Dove Civil Engineering for three proposed changes to the above referenced building permit. These changes include 1. Replacing the beam located in the second floor ceiling from a "flush" configuration to a beam placed above the existing ceiling joist. 2. On the first floor, substitute a 7" X 9 1/2 PSL for the 6 3/4" X 12 glue lam shown on the plans. This beam will be located below the floor joist. 3. On the first floor, add a 6" X 8" beam from the shower room wall to the outside wall. This will reduce the span of the existing 2X8 floor joist so that additional reinforcement will no be necessary.
