/ TAX INCREMENT FINANCING AND YOUR TAXES
AS A RESIDENT OF THE CITY, WILL MY TAXES GO UP BECAUSE OF THE DISTRICT?
NO. As a voter, you determine your taxes when tax levies or bonds proposed by
various taxing districts are approved. The City Center Development District can
not levy any taxes of its own.
AS A PROPERTY OWNER WITHIN THE DISTRICT, WILL I PAY A HIGHER OR LOWER TAX RATE
THAN PROPERTY OWNERS OUTSIDE THE DISTRICT?
You will pay exactly the same tax rate as a property owner outside of the
District.
HOW WILL TAXES BE DISTRIBUTED UNDER THE PLAN?

AS A PROPERTY OWNER WITHIN THE DISTRICT, WILL THE ASSESSED VALUE OF My PROPERTY
GO UP OR DOWN BECAUSE I'M IN THIS DISTRICT?
If improvements are made that increase the value of your property, then ,
when it is reassessed by the County Assessor, the assessed value of your
property will most likely increase.
WILL-THIS DISTRICT MEAN LESS TAX DOLLARS FOR SCHOOLS?
NO. The taxpayers determine the amount of tax dollars that the School-
District can collect, not this District. The School District will continue to
collect tax dollars as approved by the voters with or without the District.
