Mayor Bishop stated the special meeting had `,een called with the common consent of the Council for the purpose of declaring surplus city property to be sold at Town & Country Days celebration. City Administrator requested Council approve Resolution No. 78-56 which declares what surplus materials and supplies will be sold at the auction. RESOLUTION No. 78-56 A RESOLUTION OF THE TIGARD CITY COUNCIL DECLARING SURPLUS MATERIALS TO BE SOLD AT PUBLIC AUCTION. (a) Motion by Councilman Cook, seconded by Councilman Mickelson, to approve. Also included in this position is the responsibility of updating the Personnel Manual. PUBLIC WORKS BUILDS. Claire Meade and his crew have been busy revamping the upstairs area in the storage jarn for additional storage. We will store records from City Hall and the Police Department in this space. CH2M. We have received a "draft" copy of the Storm Water Study Contract from CH2M Hill. This will be reviewed prior to submission to Council for acceptance. USA. COOK PARK AND TIGARD. The Unified Sewerage Agency has officially notified us by letter that in addition to paying us $1000.00 for an easement, they will install two sewer stubs to serve future restrooms in Cook Park. ADMINISTRATOR FISHING. Mr. Barker will be fishing at Yellowstone National Park August 7- August 15th. ANNEXATIONS. At 12:30 a.m. Thursday morning the Boundary Commission had completed one half of their agenda. Tigard's petitions started at 7 p.m. It was a long night. A full report will be made next Monday evening. s HAGMAN AND THOMPS014 PLAY FIREMAN. Quick thinking on the part of John Hagman and Bob Thompson averted a major fire on 99W. While following a camper they noted fire and smoke from same. When the camper stopped, they got the fire under control with portable extinguishers from the City vehicle. Well done. We made a few friends.
