SPECIAL MEETING MAY 29, 1975, 7:45 P. M.
ROLL CALL: Present: Mayor Wilbur A. Bishop; Councilmen Ralph C. Barkhurst, John E. Cook,
Alan W. Mickelson, Robert C. Moore; R. B. Adams, Chief of Police; Russel
Austin, Building Official; Bruce P. Clark, City Administrator; Doris Nartig,
T ' City Recorder.
Special meeting called by Mayor with the common consent of the Council for the purpose
of canvassing results of May 27, 1975 election and to consider any other business
brought before the Council.
City Recorder reported the following votes were cast with respect to School Proximity
Vehicular Traffic-Limitation Measure:
Yes votes 197
No votes 303
Incorrectly marked votes -0-
Total vote received 500
Majorit} of the votes were against the proposition.
(a) Motion by`Councilman Cook to accept the results of the elections as presented;
seconded by Councilman Barkhurst.
Approved by unanimous vote of Council.
City Administrator distributed copies of APSCME contract for City of Tigard employees.
Employees have ratified the contract and City Administrator proposed the Council
ratify and authorize execution of the document. Council discussed and consensus was to
take matter up at study session on June 2, 1975.
Councilman Mickelson requested status report regarding irrigation system for Jack Park.
City Administrator reported work was progressing and he expected the contractor to
install system next week.
City Administrator requested Council concurrence regarding job description for City
Attorney. Several minor changes in description and details were suggested by Council.
Motion by Councilman Barkhurst to distribute the job description; seconded
by Councilman Cook. r
Approved by unanimous vote of Council.
Council requested City Administrator to mail letters to all interested applicants
soliciting their interest, with Council*to schedule interview sessions.
Meeting adjourned 8:10 P. M.
