6. WALNUT - TIEDEMAN STREET IMPRRVCME-NT
Director of Public uorks showed fouir ._nccpt prepared ,,ire
engineering firm of Ling and Yinger for the street improvement.
City staff and Supt. of Tigard Schools Deb , ernncl, mot with
Washington County staff to request county assistoFce for fD7mation
of L.I.D. City Council requested further alternatives to pre-
sented by the engineers and the City Administrator write to
Washington County requesting them to participate in the form-
ation of the improvement district.
7. TRASH HAULING VIOLATiONS
City Administrator reviewed recent violations of hauling cardboard
as well as other violations of city's garbage franchisee ordinances.
Matter has been turned over to city attorney for revisions to
garbage franchise ordinance relating to the hauling of cardboard.
8. OREGON ELECTRIC RAILROAD PAYMENTS
City Administrator stated payment for improvement was being with-
held until railroad crossing was improved in accordance with
agreement.

City Administrator noted publi^ concern:over the n,eed to re-
paint cross walks. it was,estimated it would-co '300-500
to paint. crosswalks on Plain St. gr weather ha bee.) n,_1'dzr,r.
up work. Council requested crosswalks be marled als sooFf as
feasible.

referred matter to Planning Corrmission for recommendation.
B. City Administrator. reviewed Lea uo or Oregon Cities corrospon!?%nce
regarding O.L.C.C. applications. Council concurred on using ti-le
same routine on renewal applications and using new rules ror
new applications.
City Administrator reported Tom Whittaker was recommended by the
Planninn, Commission to serve as an alternate on Site De.,yelopmert:
Plan aria Design Review Board.
D. Council requested staff study business license fees and possible
rate adjustment.
