Director of Public Services & Facilities Subject: Monthly Report ENGINEERING DIVISION: This past month the division has spent quite a few manhours conducting field surveys primarily - construction surveying for the installat:b-1 of, and extension of;various storm sewer lines; and, construction surveying;',for collection of as-built data on various (past) sanit— , sewer lines. Field inspection requests have been very demanding this past month, with ;respect to time and available personnel, due to the volume of construction activity in subdivision, street, sewer and park projects currently underway. Compilation, recording and drafting of the above mentioned survev data and inspection data has consumed considerable mank�aurs of the division's time. Drafting of topographic overlays and a sanitary sewer manhole reference index overlay, to complement our sewer system composit map, was also completed_ BUILDING DIVISION: During the month of May there were 157 requested building inspections made. In addition, there were 97 on the spot: inspections. There were 24 plans received this month an 24 issued for a monthly valuation of $768, 349.00. Since January, we have a $3, 754, 154.00 valuation. PARK SECTION: Except for routine maintenance, the crews have been working on the Grant at Cook Park; the largest project being installation Of a storm system. SEWER SECTION: Only one sewer plug-up this month, the other work was general inspection and cleaning. P•4AINTENANCE SECTION: Other than routine maintenance, most of the time spent was converting and equipping the new police vehicles. Copies of these ordinances were distributed at'your' last Council meeting.
