Special. meeting was duly called with the common consent of the
Council for the purpose of canvassing the results of the special
budget election,
2e PURCHASE OF DUMP TRUCK
(a) City Administrator recommended Council rescinding award of
bid to Weiler Chevrolet based on the fact Weiler Chevrolet
is not able to produce vehicle per their bid and recommended
bid be awarded to Knauss Chevrolet..
(b) Mot-or. by Councilman Bergmann to rescind awarding the
bid to Weiler Chevrolet and that the bid fcr dump truck
as specified be awarded to Knauss Chevrolet, seconded by
Councilwoman Paisley.
Approved by unanimous vote of Council.
3, AUTHORIZE USE OF COOK PARK BY J Ci,`s
(a) City Administrator stated Jaycees have requested permission
to dispense beer June 13, 1971, while hosting the Ohio and
Alaska Delegation for the JC, Convention.
Council and staff discussed the depositing of a cash bond
to'assure compliance with park rules. Administrator to
develop requirements `
(b) Motion by;Councilman Norton to authorize Tigard Jaycees to
dispense. malt beverages inaccordance with Ordinance 71-12
seconded by Councilman Bergmann„
Approved by unanimous vote of Council.
4, AUTHORIZE USE OF COOK PARR BY BEAVERTON EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION
(a) City Administrator, reported Employees Association has
requested permission to dispense beer during their picnic
August 7, 1971,`
(b) Motion to give permission to Employees Assocration,
Councilman Bergmann; seconded by Councilwoman Parsley.
Approved by unanimous vote of Council present.

(a) better from Ed Fraser President of Driftwood Terrace
Aptso on 103rd requesting street improvement.
Council and staff discussed possibilities for improving
road. Council requested Administrator suggest formation
of L. I; D.
6, ADDITION TO LIABILITY INSURANCE COVERAGE
(a) City Administrator stated City will participate in NYC
program this summer and will be transporting i0.1'
people from the Hillsboro area each day., Adm_nistrator
recommended adding a short term rider cr. our insurance
policy for an additional liability limit: of $500,000,
(b) Motion by Councilman Norton to authorize Administrator
to execute a 90 day contract seconded by Councilman Moore,

7, BAILEE INSURANCE
(a) Administrator stated Police Department recovers stolen
goods which must be kept for a period of time and if the
material is lost or stoler, the City becomes liable for the
loss. Up to now the City has been self-ineuring, however,
Administrator recommended we consider covering the bailment
goods with insurance_
Council and staff discussed. City Administrator to study
further.
8, APPROVE RMB CLASS B LICENSE APPLICATION, Loret.ta's Pizza &
Spaghetti, 12386 S.W. Main, Tigard, Oregon.
(a) City Administrator stated Violet J. Gale has leased the
establishment and has requested Council endorsement of her
liquor license application, Police Department has
investigated and found no reason for refusing her request,
(b) Motion by Councilman Moore to approve application;
seconded by Councilman Norton.
Approved by unanimous vote of Council.
9, RESOLUTION No. 71-10 - RESOLUTION CERTIFYING RESULTS OF ELECTION,
DECLARING TAX LEVY AND CERTIFYING THE AMOUNT
OF TOTAL TAXES AND DIRECTING THE'CITY
RECORDER TO FILE THE BUDGET-WITH -THE PROPER
PUBLIC.OFFICES;
(a) Chairman of the Election Board, Garolin Nortness reported
of the'total votes cast, 276 favored the levys 149 voted
against the`levy and the total number of votes tallied
were 425. Levy of $1.12,866. in excess of the tax base passed,
(b) Motion to adopt': Councilman Moore, seconded by Councilman'
Norton.
Approved by unanimous vote of Council present,
