Special meeting was duly called with the common consent of the Council
for the purpose of considering the adoption of an ordinance regarding
the Derry Dell Trunk Sewer Improvement District.
2. ORDINANCE No. 71-9 - AN ORDINANCE DETERMINING THE FINAL COST OF SEWER
IMPROVEMENTS IN THE DERRY DELL TRUNK SEWER
IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT; DETERMINING THAT THE PROPERTY
BENEFITED SHALL BEAR ITS EQUITABLE SHARE OF THE
COST OF THE IMPROVEMENTS; RATIFYING AND ADOPTING
THE APPORTIONMENT AND ASSESSMENT OF THE COST TO
THE RESPECTIVE LOTS, PARTS OF LOTS AND PARCELS OF
LAND WITHIN THE ASSESSMENT DISTRICT ACCORDING TO
THE SPECIAL AND PECULIAR BENEFITS ACCRUING THERETO
FROM THE IMPROVEMENT; SPREADING THE ASSESSMENT;
DIRECTING THE CITY RECORDER TC ENTER ALL ASSESSMENTS
IN A SEPARATE LIEN DOCKET OF THE CITY AND DECLARING
SAME TO BE A LIEN ON THE RESPECTIVE PROPERTIES UNTIL
PAID; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
(a) City Administrator recommended deletion of the Finley and Swan
property that is not being assessed and the revised assessment
role be, approved.
(b) Motion to adopt: Councilman Norton; seconded by Councilman
Moore.
Approved by unanimous vote of Council.
OTHER BUSINESS
s' A. City Administrator reported letter from Cleighton Penwell, Director,
Executive Department of State of Oregonindicated they had given consider-
able study of the error in our census and allocation of the State gas tax
money, cigarette and liquor revenues. Mr.-Penwell` indicates`the State
could not make an adjustment of the distributed cigarette tax and highway
a gas tax money. Administrator contends latest certification should be used
for distribution,of money. Census was certified January 27th and check
from State Highway Department dated February 16th. 'If no adjustment is
made the City may lose approximately $5500 in gas tax revenues.
B. Councilman Bergmann brought to Council's attention mating of
the Tualatin
Rural Fire District at Tigard Senior High School, Thursday,` March lath at
7:30 P. M. regarding change in working`schedule' for paid fire personnel.
C. Motion to adjourn: Councilman Dore, seconded by Councilman Bergmann.
Approved by unanimous vote of Council.
