(a) Letter from Helen E. Steyaert, 14820 S.W. 103rd Avenue,
regarding water shortage in her neighborhood.
(b) Copy of petition sent to Water District regarding
shortage of water in Del Monte Subdivision. Petition
contained 37 names.
(c) City.Administrator to reply to Mrs. Steyaert and also
solicit information from Water District regarding
shortage and what is being done to correct situation.
5. APPROVAL OF BILLS $5,460.78
(a) Motion to approve: Councilman Larsen, seconded by
Councilman O'Halloran.
Approved by unanimous vote of Council present.
6. -APPROVAL OF LIQUOR APPLICATION --CIRCLE K CORPORATION, Package
Store, Class B,, to be located on S.W. Walnut. near S.W. Pacific
Highway.
(a) City Administrator reported police department had made
an investigation and recommended approval. City
Administrator further,reported deed restriction which
prohibits the sale or manufacture of alcohol. Attorney
Anderson stated deed restriction was private matter
that can be revoked by Court or 'adjoining property owners.
(b) ` Motion to approve application: CouncilmanMoore,-secon-
ded by Councilman"O'Halloran.

CONSIDER BIDS ON BONDS FOR 98TH STREET SEWER
(a) President of Council called special meeting for Monday,
August 31, 1970, 7:30 P.M., City Administrator's Office,
City Hall, Tigard, Oregon_.
OTHER BUSINESS
A. City Administrator reported, with exception of Kvarnstrom assessment,
all properties in Leron Sewer Improvement District had responded,
and City was ready to hold informal hearing on remonstrances prior
to adopting final assessment role. City Attorney stated City may
proceed with final assessment roll without Kvarnstroms.
B. City Administrator reported Building Official, Bob Hill, will report
for heart surgery and City has arranged for Tom Bronson of Farmers'
Insurance to handle Mr. Hill's duties in his absence. City will pay
Mr. Bronson an hourly rate to compensate him for his time,
C. City Administrator asked for Council policy or, expired building
permits. Council wished to consider it further in a study session.
D. Cresmer Subdivision Agreement
(1) City Administrator reported street lights have been
installed and money for energizing the lights has been
deposited with the City. City will recruire maintenance
bond from date of acceptance of streets and curbs.
Administrator requested Mayor and City Recorder be
authorized to sign agreement on behalf of City.
f2) : Motion to authorize Mayor and City Recorder,to sign
Cresmer'Subdivision Agreement on behalf of City: Council-
man Larsen, seconded by; Councilman Moore.
Approved by unanimous vote of Council present.
E. PROGRESS PAYMENT #4, WILLIS MECHANICAL CONTRACTORS INC. - SEWER
PLANT EXPANSION'
(1) Director of Public Works reported contract is approxi-
mately 2 weeks behind schedule and engineering staff will
meet':with`'contractor to seewhat can be done. Director
of Public Works recommended payment of $20;232,36.
(2) Motion to authorize payment: Councilman O'Halloran,
seconded by Councilman Larsen.
