2. Special Meeting was duly called by common consent of Council for
the purpose of discussing assessment methods for following pro-
posed improvement districts-
(a) S. W. Canterbury Lane; front footage basis for services
received. Estimated cost $44,600.
(b) S. W. 98th Ave.F $83. per acres plus $250. if adjacent
to sewerF plus $3.30 per front foot of sever line.
Estimated cost $39,000. of ?fnich $5,000. will be paid
by the City for exte-:ding line under railroad tracks.
(c) Laron Heights SewerF assessme;t on a per acre basis,
cost per acre $2,129.82. Estimated cost of project
$21,050.
(d) Derry Dell Sewer;
Plan A - $350. base charge plus $727.67 per acre
Plan B - $350. base charge plus $363.93 per acre, plus
$2,39 per front foot;
Total estimated cost of project $151,000. City will
finance the $35,000. cost of the trunk that is in excess
of an 8 inch line.
Staff suggested two alternatives to recover the cost of
oversizisng.of -line-
(1) $52.00 per acre additional assessment fee
(2) $50.00 additional connection fee for every
connection in the drainage basins $50. to .
be paid at time of connection.
Council informally approved a9sessmentz as presented for
Canterbury, Laron Heights and 98th Street.
Assessment Pian A was recommended for Derry Dell with
cost of oversizing:of line to<be`financed by additional
$50.00 sir connection fee.
