(a) City Administrator reported remonstrance had been received
from Mx. and Mrs. L. W. Christen. He further reported he
felt remonstrance cculd be taken care of in that property
owners were mistaken in area that was being assessed.
In view of the fact gnat many property -wners had not re-
sponded to the notice of assessment, City Administrator re-
quested matter be continued to May 12, 1969, to give City
Staff additional time to contact property owners.
9. LEAGUE OF OREGON CITIES HEALTH S ACCIDENT INSURANCE OPTION
(a) City Administrator stated the City has an option of $32. or
$36. per day hospital room benefit under League of Oregon
Cities Blue Cross Plan. The City is currently operating
under $32. per day hospital room benefit with cost to City
$8.94 per month. With increase to $36.00, the City's share
would be $9.23 per month. Employees would pay additional
costs for dependents coverage. In view of rising medical
costs, City Administrator recommended Council approve the
$36.00 per day option. If Council approved recommendation,
City Administrator would discuss with employees and if
majority desired increased benefits for their dependents,
City would include increased cost of employees' premium in
196970 budget.
(b) Motion to approve City Administrator's recommendations
Councilman O'Halloran, seconded by Councilman. Larsen.

10. AUTHORIZE PURCHASE OF 3/4 TON PICKUP
(a) City Administrator stated the following,bids were receivedo

City Staff recommended acceptance of Knauss Chevrolet bid in z
the amount of $2642.83.
(b) Motion to accept bid of Knauss Chevrolet: Councilman Bergmann,
seconded by'Councilman O'Halloran.
Approved by unanimous vote of Council.
11. ORDINANCE No. 69-44 ® AN ORDINANCE SETTING HEARING WITH RESPECT TO
PROPOSED ANNEXATIO14 OF THE LANDS OF Ann Merrill

OREGON, AND DIRECTING GIVING OF NOTICE THEREOF

(b) Motion to adopts Councilman Moore, seconded by Councilman Larsen.

12. CANTERBURY CREST ROAD DEDICATION
(a) City Administrator stated legal description for Deed of Road
Dedication on Canterbury Crest was incorrect. Attorney
Anderson is preparing a corrective deed and City Administrator
recommended City accept corrective deed and authorize the
Mayor to sign on behalf of the City.
(b) Motion to accept corrective deed of road dedication on Canter-
bury Crest and authorize the Mayor to sign on behalf of the
City: Councilman Moore, seconded by Councilman Bergmann.
Approved by unanimous vote of Council.
OTHER BUSINESS
A. City Administrator stated Mr. Bill Stebbins has been doing research
of various pension plans on behalf of the City. Mr. Stebbins would
like to be appointed as "Agent of Record" should the City adopt a
pension plan. Council did not wish to appoint a certain individual
as "Agent of Record" and felt every agent should be given an op-
portunity to bid. Matter was discussed by Council and set-over to
next meeting.
B. City Administrator stated staff has received two bids for mosquito
control for four applications:
(1) Paramount pest Control - $2,000.
(2) Rid-O-Pest - $2,325.
Staff recommended bid from Paramount Pest Control.
(3) Motion by councilman Larsen to accept bid of Paramount Pest
Control, seconded by Councilman O'Halloran.
Approved by unanimous vote of Council.
C. City Administrator stated Bonita-Pinebrook Sewer Project was com-
pleted for less than anticipated and_Stevens, Thompson & Runyan
recommended City consider using remainder of available federal
money for increase in size of Burnham Street pump station. Ap-
proximate cost of project is less than $2,500. of which 8c% would
-
be financed by money City has been granted. ,Administrator requested
Council;authorize City to request approval from Oregon State
Sanitary_Authority.
(1) Motion by Councilman Moore to authorize Mayor to sign letter
requesting approval from Oregon State Sanitary Authority,
seconded by Councilman Bergmann.
Approved by unanimous vote of Council.
D. City Administrator stated he had received request from Mr. Bob Gray
requesting a change in contract for extension of sewer,service on
S. W. Lynn Street.
(1) Motion to deny Mr. Gray's request: Councilman Bergmann,
seconded,by-Councilman Larsen.
Approved by unanimous vote of Council.
