13. BUREAU OF 'OUTDOOR RECREATION GRANT CONTRACT (COOK PARK)
(a) City Administrator requested Council authorize Mayor and City
Recorder sign agreement on behalf of the City. Agreement with
Washington County must be signed precedent to receiving the
grant:

14. RENAMING OF OLD HIGHWAY 'r_I
(a) Mayor and Council di3cusr:ed renaming of Old Highway 217 or S.W.
Hoffarber Ave. It wa-,i agreed by Council to withhold any
further action on thin matter pending outcome of public hearing
to be held by W4.,:bington County Planning Commission at 7:30
P.M. June 11, 15168, in the Washington County Court House.
Council requested n?tice of public hearing be mailed to all who
had signed petit.1r:n pictesting the renaming to S.W. Hoffarber
Avenue.
(b) Motion to table further action on renaming until after public
hearing: Councilman Lull, seconded by Councilman Knauss.
Approved by unanimouw vote of Council.
15. SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE
(a) Mayor, council, City attorney and City Administrator discussed
at length feasible imeans of setting aside lands for parks,
open space or neighborhood recreation areas." It was suggested
the Subdivision Ordinance be used as a policy rather than as
an ordinance to give guidance to developers. It was further
suggested Maltiple; r;�4eflings and Subdivisions be handled as a
Conditional Use in the zoning ordinance. Council requested
City Attorney and City Administrator research and recommend
reasonableguide lines and regulations":for Conditional Use of
Multiple 'Dwellings and Subdivisions.
16. RESOLUTION 68-15 - RESOLUTION OF CITY COUNCIL DIRECTING CITY ATTOR-
NEY TO INSTITUTE FORECLOSURE PRECEEDINGS'WITH
RESPECT TO SOUTHWEST MAIN STREET IMPROVEMENT
DISTRICT LIEN ON LANDS OF LELAND ARISS,','et ux.
(a) City Administrator stated Mr.' Ariss has not paid his assess-
or requested bonding under the Bancroft:Bond Act. Since:
the assessment of $4,550.49 has not:been paid he requested the
City Council authorize the City Attorney to proceed with fore-
closure 'proceedings.
(b) Motion by Councilman Moore to adopt resolution: seconded by;
Councilman' Bergmann.

OTHER BUSINESS
1, Councilman Moore requested City Staff investigate means whereby
obsolete signs could be removed,
2. City Administrator stated letter has been received from Washington
County regarding Community Action Program, County Board took
action whereby Washington County will appoint 1/3 of CAP Board of
Directors. If City Council takes no action on Washington County
Board's decision, it will constitute approval. Council took nq*,.
formal action on this matter.
