Honorable E-: G. "Bu:a
Mayor of Tigard an
Mcrrmbers of Tigard City Council
Gontlem_na
Please accept this letter as My intention to ros:i n as a
member of the Tic-ard City Council effective-, ?'nn u<;, T,uc _ist
28, 1967,
As you are aware, our home at 1d875 S.W. 103rd Street, was a
part of the S. w. Pacific Highway-Tualatin River Annexation.
This annexation was challenged in the Circuit Court of Wash-
ington Counter and an unfavorable decision to this annexation
has been rendered. It was the decision of the Council to appeal
this decision to the State Supreme Court and I am in complete
agreement that this decision must be challenged in the higher
courts.
It is with considerable regret that I submit anis _resignation
but feel that it is fiecessarj•-:- due to the fact ;that ' I would
not want any Police, decision or action of the Council to 'b,:
questioned because of any doubt about the legality of my
residency and being a member of the Council. It has been an
honor and a privilege to work with you and to be of some
service to th=e City of Tigard and my best wishes fog every
future success goes to you.
Respectfully submitted,
Ed Sax-e-C
