EXCERPTS OF MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING
CITY COUNCIL OF TIGARD
May 2__ _9 1967
The common consent special meeting of the City Council of
Tigard was called to order by Mayor,Kyle at 7:30 p.m. on Monday,
May 29, -1967 in the Council Chambers at the City Hall, Tigard,
Oregon, roll call revealing that all councilmen, except councilman
Bergman, were present together with the City Recorder, Monnie S.
Andrews, City Attorney Fred. A. Anderson, the City Engineer and
other interestedpersons.
It was noted for the record that the meeting had been called,
by common consent of the Mayor and Council at the last prior regular
meeting held on May 22, 19673 for the special purpose of receiving
and opening the bids for the sale of $31,903.78 City of Tigard Gen-
eral Obligation Improvement Bonds.
The hour of 8:00 o'clock having arrived, the Mayor requested
that the City Attorney open all bids and publicly read them, which

Attorney Anderson undertook to do, there being as
follows:
1. Bid of United States National Bank of Oregon:
The entire issue at-a coupon rate of 4-1/4%,
at $1.09 for each $100, face value, with a
coupon interest cost of $5,777.06
Less premium bid 28.71
Net interest cost
Effective interest•rate 5,749.25

2. Bid of First National Bank of,Oregon:
The entire issue at'a coupon rate of 4-3/8%,
at $1.11 for each $100, face value, :with a net
/Coupon interest cost of $5,912.81
Effective interest rate 4.349%
After some discussion of the bids, on motion duly made,
seconded and unanimously passed, the bid of United Stated National
Bank of Oregon was accepted, and the City Attorney and City Recorder
were authorized and directed to take such further 'steps as necessary
to notify the U. S National Bank of the acceptance of its bid, to
have a transcript prepared and,approved, to have the bonds printed
and delivered, all in accordance with the terms of the bid.
