SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING, MONDAY, OCTOBER 17, 1966, 7:30 P.M.

City Administrator Robert K. Logan; Keith C. Thompson,

3. MINUTES, for approval October 10, 1966
Approved.
4. POLICE VEHICLE BIDS
City Administrator recommended the apparent low bid of
Del Ball Ford in the'amount of $2,354.59 for a 1967 Ford
Cruiser, and the retention by the City of the 1964 Ford.
It was moved by Councilman Bergmann, Seconded by Councilman
Well, and unanimously carried that Council accept the
apparent low bid of Del Ball Ford in the amount of $2,354.59
for a 1967 Police Cruiser, and that the City retain the 1964
Police vehicle.
5. THE OCTOBER 24, 1966, COUNCIL MEETING FIAS BEEN CANCELLED.
6. ORDINANCE - An Ordinance Setting Hearing with Respect to Proposed
Annexation of Lands of George G._Tori&.ad, Et Al, in
Greenburg Heights, Washington County, Oregon, and
Directing; Giving of Notice Thereof'.

S. Mayor Kyle announced that the Public Hearing for Withdrawal from
Tigard Water District had been withdrawn.
A Joint,Resolution of Intention was read by the City Administrator
It was moved by Councilman Knauss, Seconded by Councilman
Bergmann, and unanimously carried, that Councilapprove the
Resolution presented by the City Administrator.
OTHER BUSINESS
1. POLICE CADET TRAINING; PROGRAM - Proposed Police Cadet Program was
presented to the'Mayor`and Council.
It was moved by Councilman Bergmann, Seconded by Councilman
Knees, and unanimously, carried to directtheCity Admin-
istrator to obtain more information"on_the legal aspects,
liability and cost breakdown for such a function.
2. SXD PROCEDURE
It was moved by 'Councilman Bergmann, Seconded by Councilman
Knauss, and unanimously carried to authorise City Administrator
to call for and open bids in his office at a specific time
and 'date. Bids would then be;recommendedfor award to the
City Council. It was 'pointed'out,by the City Administrator
that such a procedure could ®ave time of the Council,

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, That pursuant to Ordinance No.66- 3$
duly passed by the City Council of the City of Tigard, Oregon on
September 26, 1966, ' a. public hearing; will be held in the Council
Chamber, at the City Hall onMainStreet,, in the City of Tigard,
Oregon, on 4onday , the 17thday of October, 1966, at the hour
of 8: 00 o'clock P.M., on the question of the withdrawal from the
Tigard dater District of all that part of the Tigard Water District
lying and being within the present corporate boundaries of the
City of Tigard.
ON said date, ;time and place the Council of the City of
Tigard will hear objections to the proposed withdrawal, and will K,
thereafter determine whether such withdrawal is for the best

interests of the City.
