The Meeting was called to order at ",30 Y=.M.,
Mayor Kyle stated that the purpose of the special Oic(�t:ng is the
signing of the Highway Gontract� The Council discusz-u :,he
agreement and the omission of paragraph,9 in the contract.
Councilman Klock- I move that we approve the change in the
Highway Contract as proposed by the City Attorney, "and adopt a
Resolution R-65-2 whereas the State of Oregon, acting by and
through its State Highway Commission, has caused to be prepared
and submitted to the City of Tigard an agreement providing;
for the improvement. of Sunset Highway-Pacific Highway Section
of the Beaverton-Tigard Highway within said City; and whereas.
said agreement has been read in full to the Council of said City
and approved as submitted'. Now, therefore, be it resolved by
the City of Tigard that the Mayor and Recorder are:hereby
authorized and directed to execute said agreement on behalf of
City. The foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the Council
of the City of Tigard on the 19th day of July 1965. Motion
seconded by Councilman Bergmann. Upon call for vo- `he motion
was unanimously approved by Council, all members be_:, ,?rasent.
Mr. Maigs has prepared a detailed plan for the sewage extension
for thePacificHighway Annexation. Mr. Meigs, City- Engineer,
and Council discussed the proposed sewer line and easements for
this area.
Councilman Woodard- I move:that we advise the Engineer to continue
drafting the final plans for the s ewer extension on Pacific
Highway. Motion seconded by Councilman Klock. Upon call for
vote the motion was unanimously approved by Council, all members
being present.
