The meeting was called to order at 7:3C P.DP. by Mayor Kyle
who o .ened the'meeting with the pledge of allegian, Mayor
Kyle asked for corrections, additions or omissions t:
minutes of the meetings of May 10, 1965, and May 18, 19 3-
None being offered the minutes were tl,e-n approved.
R;ayor 1GylA read a letter from Mr. Arthur Poulin regarding
Sewer Lines in the new annexed area. Mayor Kyle also
read a letter from Western Surety Company regarding $1,000.
Corporate: Bond.
Councilman Klock received a letter from Commonwealth, Inc.
regarding fee for a corporate bond for one year for
acceptance,of the subdivision improvements and the in-
corporation of the streets into the public maintained
street system. Councilman. Klock has informed Common,realth
that .they may post a $1,000. bond for one year.

by title only;being an. Ordinance PRESCRIBING PROCEDURES
WITH RESPECT TO CONTRACT FOR PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS.
Councilman Woodard: ,I move that we adopt Ordinance 65-14.;
Motion seconded by'Councilman Klock. Roll call of vote
resulted as follows: Councilman Woodard, AYE'; Councilman
Bergmann', AYE;' Councilman Klock, AYE; Councilman Shinn,
AYE; Mayor Kyle, AYE.
Mayor Kyle: We have An Ordinance 65-15.Amending Ordinance

Councilman Bergmann I would like to ask the Coun— .

Councilman Klock;- We will have two vacancies on the
Planninq and Zoning Commission in July, One is Mr.,
Phillips and the other is Mr, John Perry, and both
terms expire July 2, 1965;

Planning and 'Zoning Commissions and clarify their position

Councilman Woodarde' I have something to report on the
91st Street problem, The people on 91st near Lincoln
want the City to do something about this street,
The Mayor and Council discussed this situation and the
City is not responsible as 91st at Linevin is not a'
dedicared street and not the city's responsibility,,
Mayor Kyle ; L have received a letter from Mr. Paterson
regarding the Le-Ron Iieight,s interceptor and also a bill
for the difference between': an 8" lineanda 24" sewer

The sewer plant expansion is almost completed. Mr,
Roxii has brought to my attention that there is a man he
would,.like to hire who is availat,l at this time, Mr. Charles
J. Munkres. This gentleman will be :.n charge of the
Metzger Sanitation plant when it is completed. Mr. Roney
felt that even though this gentleman will only he with
the City for a short time he would be valuable to us in
setting up the lab for the sewer Plant.

by the Planning and zoning Commissions 1. Applicant is
Mrs. Rxith J. Godfrey, Lot:6, Tigardville Addition,
Cornea Walnut and Grant for a`zone change from R-5
Residential to A�-2 Multiple Dwelling. 2. Applicant is
Vance R. Lee and Mr. Ralph Peters, S.W. Walnut street,
for a zona change from A-2 Multiple Dwelling to C-2 _
General Commercial. 3. Applicant is Mr. R. Ripley,
14170 S.W. Pacific Highway, Tigard, Oregon, for a zone
nhange from A-2 Multiple Dwelling to C-2 Retail Comriereial.
We should set a date for the hearing on these zone nxte6
Councilman Bergmanns I move that we set the Public Hearing
for :lune: 7, 1965, Council Chambers 8 p.M. on these three
zone changes. 'Motion seconded by Councilman Shinn. 'Upon
call for vote the motion was unanimously approved by.
Council, all members being present.
Mayor kyles There will be a special meeting of Council
tomorrow May 25, 1965, immediately after the Budget Meeting,
to Canvass the Votes.
