forth".
mayor Woodard: Yes an-6 we may want to revise some of the
employes' salaries. T would call an Executive ilcetinr for
next Monday nicht, if there are no objections. Since every
body appears to approve of it, we will have an'E;_ecutive
Meeting, Dionday night, 'ilpril 15th.
Councilman Bergmann: That takes care of the Business License,,
for tonight. T was wondering if we coup'have the P.,inutes
mailed out and approved sbefore' the meeting, instead o_ rhavina
them read at the meeting, in the interests - saving time for
business to be transacted at the Meeting.
Mayor Woodard: We should read the minutes at the Veetinc to
approve them.
Councilman Bergmann: Are we required by law to read them„„?
Attorney Anderson:' It 'is required the Council rear the
�4inutes and keep a Journal of the Proceedings, but it :is not
necessary to read them. If there are any questions on 'the
Minutes, the subject would beraised, other-wise the Minutes
would be approved "as written"'. It is somewhat refreshing
to the mind to review the Minutes and. some intereste,J,, people
who attend may want to hear them.
The question of eliminating the reading o£ the Minutes was
further discussed by Mayor Woodard, Councilmen Johnson and
Cooper, as well as some remarks from lar. Loren Webb, from the
audience, during which discussion Councilman Cooper spoke
about the inaccurate reporting of the Tigard Times and. felt
