TIGARD CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION NO. 10-
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE URBAN FORESTRY CODE
REVISIONS PROJECT CI'T`IZEN ADVISORY COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, Council adopted the Urban Forest section of the Comprehensive Plan in 2008 and
accepted the Urban Forestry Master Plan in 2009 to help guide and inform an update of the City's
tree and urban forestry related code provisions; and
WHERE it is the City's policy to establish special City advisory boards and committees to
provide input to the City Council, Planning Commission, and City staff; and
WHERE AS, On February 16, 2010 Council.provided direction to staff on the process and timeline
to update the Urban Forestry Code, including the formation of a CAC to advise staff and sees:
consensus during the update; and
WHEREAS, Council Resolution 08-47 amended the process to form and appoint members to
limited duration Citizen Advisory Committees; and
WHEREAS, Council, on March 23, 2010 in Resolution 10-12, authorized the establishment of a
limited duration Citizen Advisory Committee to guide the development of the Urban Forestry Code
Revisions Project and defused the membership of this committee; and
WHEREAS, tl-ie aforementioned authorization identified the Urban Forestry Code Revisions
Project Citizen Advisory Committee as consisting of up to fifteen members; and
WHEREAS, City staff did not receive enough applications to fill all committee vacancies as
described in Resolution 10-12.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVE D by the Tigard City Council that:
SECTION 1: Resolution 10-12 shall be amended to revise the membership of the Urban Forestry
Code Revisions Citizen Advisory Committee to include:
Representatives from existing boards and committees (G)
Representative from the development corrimunit, (2)
Representative from the environmental community (1)
Representative from the landscape/arborist profession (1)
Citizens at large (1)
SECTION 2: The membership of the Urban Forestry Code Revisions Citizen Advisory Cormruttee
shall consist of those individuals listed on Exlubit A.
SECTION 3: Unless determined otheiwise by Council, the Urban Forestry Code Revisions Project
Citizen Advisory Committee shall sunset at the completion of their task,which shall
be itrunediately following final presentation of the completed update to the City
Council.
SECTION 4: This resolution is effective itrunediately upon passage.
