TIGARD CITY CENTER DEVELOPMENT AGENCY
RESOLUTION NO. 07- 03
A RESOLUTION SELECTING THE LOCATION FOR THE DOWNTOWN PUBLIC PLAZA
WHEREAS, the City of Tigard has approved the "Tigard Downtown Improvement Plan and City
Center Urban Renewal Plan, which identify Fanno Creel: Park between Hall Blvd. and Main Street,
and a public plaza as key catalyst projects for Downtown; and
WHEREAS, the use of Tax Increment Financing was approved by voters in May 2006, providing a
long-term financing plan for projects within the City Center Urban Renewal District; and
WHEREAS, the City has conducted a Plaza Location Study to identify and evaluate options foi- the
location of a Public Plaza in Downtown;
WHEREAS, the Stevens Marine property as location for the Public Plaza meets the intent of the
Tigard Downtown Improvement Plan, can be designed to meet the long-tctin needs of the
cominuiiity, and protides the potential for redevelopment of adjoining property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Center Development Agency that:
SECTION 1: A Downtown Public Plaza shall be located approxicrnately as identified in attached
Exhibit A (Scheme 1, Stevens Marine property).
SECTION 2: This resolution is effective inunediately upon passage_
