A RESOLUTION TO COMPLETE THE PURCHASE OF THE PROPERTY FOR THE NEW
TIGARD LIBRARY AND TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AND SIGN
ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO COMPLETE THE PURCHASE.
WHEREAS, Tigard voters authorized the issuance of$13 million in General Obligation bond to purchase
lad and build a new library for the community, and
WHEREAS,the City obtained an option to purchase 14.7 acres of land from Mr. Fred Fields located along
Hall Boulevard across from the Tigard City Hall and the Tigard Christian Church; and
WHEREAS, the purchase price for this property will be $2,100,000.00 and will be paid from City bond
proceeds; and
WHEREAS, the City has exercised the option to purchase and now wishes to complete the purchase and
authorize the City Manager to sign documents and to perform all other acts necessary for purchase of the
property.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to complete the purchase of 14.7 acres of land
for the new Tigard Library from Mr. Fred Fields in the amount of$2,100.000.00 and to
execute and sign all documents and to perform any other acts necessary to complete the
purchase.
SECTION 2. This resolution is effective immediately upon passage.
