A RESOLUTION GRANTING AN EXEMPTION FROM PROPERTY TAXES UNDER TIGARD
MUNICIPAL CODE SECTION 3.50 FOR THREE NON PROFIT LOW INCOME HOUSING
PROJECTS OWNED AND OPERATED BY COMMUNITY PARTNERS FOR AFFORDABLE
HOUSING.
WHEREAS,Tigard Municipal Code section 3.50 provides procedures for application and consideration of
non profit corporation low income housing projects exemption from property taxes,and,
WHEREAS,the code requires applications for exemption be Shed with the City by March 1 and to be
processed by the City within 30 days,and
WHEREAS,Communiry Partners for Affordable Housing,a qualified Non Profit Corporation,bled a
request dated February 28,2001 for exemption from property taxes under TMC section 3.50 for three low
income housing projects and meets all applicable criteria for exemption,and
WHEREAS,the City has not met the processing deadline due to the schedule of meeting dates.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
SECTION 1: The applicant,Community Partners for Affordable Housing,qualifies for the exemption
set forth in Tigard Municipal Code section 3.50.
SECTION 2: The 30 day processing schedule required by TMC 3.50.050 is hereby waived.
SECTION 3: The Finance Director is directed to certify to the Assessor of Washington County that
the following three properties shall be exempt from 2001 property taxation under the
levy of the City of Tigard:
a. Village at.Washington Square
b. Single family home located at 9330 SW Tangela Ct.,Tigard
c. Villa La Paz
