A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF SURPLUS PROPERTY PURCHASED FOR THE
BEVELAND STREET EXTENSION FROM 68TH AVE TO 69TH AVE, PART OF THE 64TH AVE
RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the piece of property acquired for the Beveland Street extension from 68th Ave to 69th Ave,
part of the 69th Ave Reconstruction Project, has been defined as substandard undeveloped property
according to the Tigard Municipal Code Chapter 3.44.005;
WHEREAS,Tigard Municipal Code Chapter 3.44.010 describes the process to dispose of property such as
this;and
WHEREAS,notification has been sent to adjacent property owners within 250 feet of the sale of the surplus
property as prescribed by Tigard Municipal Code Chapter 3.44010.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
SECTION 1: The sale of the property has been determined to be in the public interest.
SECTION 2: The property is defined as substandard and undeveloped.
SECTION 3: The City Manager is directed to proceed with the sale of the property in accordance with
TMC 3.44.010 and negotiate for sale of the said property.
SECTION 4: The City Manager is authorized to negotiate and to sign documents on behalf of the City
to complete the sale transaction including but not limited to purchase agreement and
deed.
