RESOLUTION NO. 93-IJ
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF SURPLUS PROPERTY FROM THE GAARDE
STREET REALIGNMENT PROJECT AND SETTING A MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE SELLING
PRICE.
WHEREAS, the remnants of three properties acquired for the Gaarde Street
realignment project are not of sufficient size to be developed, defined
as substandard, undeveloped property according to the Tigard Municipal
Code Chapter 3.44.005, and,
WHEREAS, the adjacent property owners have expressed an interest in
acquiring the surplus properties, and,
WHEREAS, Tigard Municipal Code Chapter 3.44.010 describes the process to
dispose of property such as this, and,
WHEREAS, notification has been sent to adjacent property owners within
250 feet of the sale of the surplus property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
Section 1: The sale of the properties has been determined to be
in the Public interest.
Section 2: The Finance Director is directed to proceed
with the sale of the properties in accordance with
TMC 3.44.010 and to set the minimum bids at $2,000,
$1,300 and $900 for parcels 7,8 and 13 respectively,
as descibed in the attached legal descriptions.
Section 3: The Finance Director is directed to solicit bid
proposals and accept the highest bid for each
parcel.
Section 4: The Finance Director is authorized to negotiate and
to sign documents on behalf of the City to complete
the sale transaction including but not limited to
bid proposals, purchase agreements, and deed.
