RESOLUTION NO. 92-02-
A RESOLUTION OF THE TIGARD CITY COUNCIL TO UPDATE THE CURRENT PERSONNEL
POLICIES AND PROCEDURES MANUAL, CITY COUNCIL POLICY NO. 1.2, EQUAL
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY.
WHEREAS, the existing Personnel Policies and Procedures were adopted in 1987; and
WHEREAS,the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 expanded the definition of discrimination
based on disability;and
WHEREAS, a change in language is needed to reflect the spirit and the intent of the law;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
Section 1: The City Council Policy No. 1.2, Equal Employment Opportunity,adopted in 1987
f is modified as attached as Exhibit "A", is hereby adopted
