ASSCCIAI"ION CONTRACT- FOR 1986---88.
WHEREAS, the City Council has previously adopted the Tigard Police Association
Contract for, 1986/88; and
WHEREAS, both TPOA and City management are in agreement that two articles were
inadvertently omitted; and
WHEREAS, both parties fur•t:her agree to amend the contract without r-eope.ning is
for further negotiation.
NOW, THEREFORE, 8E 3.1RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
Section 1: The following language is hereby inserted in the 1986-1988 Tigard
Police Association Contract:
"Article 16, Section C; - Any member of the bargaining unit who has been
employed at least 60 days and who is required to work two or• more
different shifts within a normal work week shall be compensated with two
(2) hours of overtime for, that week. This differential shall not apply
when the above occurs as a r•esul.t of a quarterly shift assignment change
when the employee receives some compensation in the form of scheduling,
or, is the result of mutual agreement between the member's of the
bargaining unit for their own personal benefit.
"Article 20 Section A;-- Accrued vacation shall be credited as earned
vacation for each month of service or pr-o rata for each fractional month
of service, in accordance with the above schedule except: that vacation
accured during the first six months of continuous ser•vi.ce shall not be
credited as earned vacation until the employee completes the first six
months of continuous ser-vice."
