A RESOLUTION Of THE TIGARD CI-fY COUNCIL REAFFIRMING AUTHORIZATION FOR A 9-1--1
FUND DISTRIBUTION Sl_UfJY_ AND APPROPRIPTINC CONI"INCENCY`
WHEREAS, the City has been paying all 9- 1-1emergency telephone tax received
each quarter to the Tualatin Rural Fire Protection District (TRFPD) for 911
services; and
WHEREAS, no agreement exists between the City of Tigard and TRFPD defining the
distribution of such funds; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to enter into an agreement with the Fire. District;
and surrounding jurisdictions to determine an appropriate distribution formula
for emergency telephone tax received by the City; and
WHEREAS, a study has been authorized by the Tigard City COUncil to determine
an appropriate distribution formula; and
WHEREAS, this study is to be conducted by the City of Tigard in cooperation
with the Cities of Tualatin, Sherwood and King City and TRFPD; and
WHEREAS, the Tigard City Council wishes to transfer appropriations to fund the
City's portion of the cost since the parties in the study have agreed to
participate as follows:
City of Tigard $3.000
City of Tualatin $2,000
City of Sherwood 500
City of King City 500
TRFPD In-kind services
NOW, THEREFORE, BE 'IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
Section 1: The 911 Fund Distribution Study is hereby reaffirmed. The City
Administrator is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement
with the Cities of Tualatin, Sherwood and King City and TRFPD
to conduct the 911 Fund Distribution Study.
Section 2: A tran_fer of appropriations is approved as set forth below for
funding of the study:
