RESOLUI-ION NO.
A RE:sOLUTION TRANSFERRING APPROPRIATIONS FOR ENHANCEMENT OF THE TELEPHONE
SYSTEM.
WHEREAS, the City has chosen to own and manage it^ own internal telephone
system; and
WHEREAS, that system has reached its maximum capacity given thc: existing
capital equipment-; and
WHEREAS, an internal phone study has been conducted to determine the best
combination of improvements in order, Lo increase capacity, improve the quality
of service, and provide for, better, system management in the future; and
WHEREAS, at the time the Budget Committee discussed this issue in May, the
phone study had noir yet been completed; and
WHEREAS, monies for system improvements were set aside in the 87/88
contingency fund pending results of the study; and
WHEREAS, recommended improvements will provide better service to citizens and
staff, allow for' two to four years additional growth, and allow improved
system management;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by Lhe Tigard City Council that:
