RESOLUTION NO. 86- C:�
A RESOLUTION' CONCERNING VACATION OF A PORTION OF SW BURNHAM STREET (ADJACENT
TO TIGARD ARCO ON SW MAIN STREET) AND DEDICATED TO THE PUBLIC IN THE CITY OF
TIGARD WASHINGTON COUNTY. OREGON.__.
WHEREAS,' a vacation request has been received and filed with the City Recorder
for vacation of a portion of street right-of-way; and
WHEREAS, this portion of land was previously dedicated for street
eCity g for f-waY
purposes, it has been determined to not be needed by
thepurpose; and
WHEREAS, the Tigard City Council finds it necessary and desirable to initiate
vacation proceedings for said parcel.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council:
(1) That the Tigard City Council initiates the vacation request with the
property owners who would normally sign a
understanding that those
petition shall be notified by mail of the proceedings and that the
City will be responsible for all fees and charges as set out in TMC
Chapter 15.08.
(2) That a public hearing is hereby called to be held by tha City
r. Council on Monday, October 13, 1986, at 7:00 P.M. at the Tigard
Civic Center Town Hall Room, 13125 SW Hall Blvd., within the City of
Tigard, at which time and place the Council

(3) That the City Recorder be., and she is hereby, authorized and
directed to cause to have published in the Tigard Times, a newspaper
of general circulation in the City of Tigard hereby designated for

and by this reference made a part hereof, the first publication
be September 11, 1986 and once each week thereafter for five
oublishings in all.

NOTICE OF A PORTION OF SW BURNHAM STREET VACATION
(ADJACENT TO TIGARD ARCO ON SW MAIN STREET)
The Tigard City Council will hold a public hearing on Monday, October 13,
1996, at 7:00 P.M. at the Tigard Civic Center Town Hall Room, 13125 SW Hall
Blvd., Tigard, Oregon to consider the proposed vacation of a portion of SW
Burnham Street (adjacent to Tigard Aroc on SW Main Street) in the City of
Tigard. Tho. request was initiated by the City Council on September a_ 1996 at
the request- of City staff. Any interested person may appear and be heard for
or against the proposed vacation of said lands. Any written objection or,
remonstrance shall be filed with the City Recorder by October 13, 1906 by 4:00
PM.

That portion of SW Burnham Street in Section 2, Township 2 South, Range 1
:-lest, :•:illa^.:etta Meridian, in the city of Tigard, Washington Counts, Oregon
described as follows:
Beginning at the southwest corner of Lot 5, Electric Addition to Tigtirdville,
a recorded plat, Washington County Plat Records; thence on the west line of
said Lot 5, and its northerly extension, North 47014'31" West approximately
143.5 feet to the south right-of-way line of State Highway 99W; thence on said
south right-of-way line southwesterly approximately 43 feet to the east line
of Lot 15 of said Electric Addition to Tigardville; thence on said east line
south 47014'31" East, approximately 145 feet to the southeast corner of said
Lot 15; thence North 59033'36" East, 41.78 feet to the point of beginning;
excepting that portion lying in SW Main Street.
