RESOLUTION NO. 86- //
A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 82-75 REVISING THE PERSONNEL MANUAL AND
PROCEDURES MANUAL FOR THE CITY OF TIGARD
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 82-75 defined the status of Unclassified Personnel, and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 82-75 did not define the work week terms of
Unclassified Personnel.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
Resolution No. 82-75 be amended by adding the following section:
Section 3. Work Week. Unclassified Personnel shall work a normal
40 hour work week before earning overtime, compensatory time or like
time. The normal 40 hour work week shall begin on Sunday and end on
Saturday of each week. The normal 40 hour work week shall include
regular hours worked plus the use of all time off benefits in
determining the overtime, compensatory time or like time status.
However, if an unclassified employee is in an "on the job" injury
status, and the duration of the absence from work is less than 14
days, the day of the injury and the subsequent 2 calendar days only
' ,. are included in the normal 40 hour work week for determining the
overtime, compensatory time or like time status. This definition
shall be effective from July 1, 1986 forward.
