` A RESOLUTION OF THE TIGARD CITY COUNCIL CONFIRMING ADOPTION OF PLANS FOR THE E
S.W. 72ND AVENUE INTERCHANGE, BEAVERTON-TIGARD EXPRESSWAY (HIGHWAY 217) AND f
AUTHORIZING THE OREGON DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO INITIATE THE FINAL ;s
NEGATIVE DECLARATION. i
WHEREAS, the City Council has received and reviewed plans for the S.W.
72nd Avenue Interchange, Beaverton-Tigard Expressway (Highway 217); and
WHEREAS, the City Council has held meetings with O.D.O.T, staff and
concerned citizens regarding this project, including a public hearing; and
WHEREAS, the City Council feels there is a real need for the construction
of an interchange at S.W. 72nd Avenue and Highway 217; and
.015 requires that before
WHEREAS, State Law ORS 373the Department
of Transportation acquires within any incorporated city, any new right-of-way
or relocates or abandons any existing state highway within that city,
the State shall notify the Mayor of the action contemplated, and the city
acknowledges that this notification has been made by the Department of
Transportation.
NOW, THEREFORE,
Be it resolved by the Tigard City Council thatthe project for the S.W.
72nd Avenue Interchange, Beaverton-Tigard Expressway be adopted per the
modified plan presented at the January 28, 1980 City Council meeting with the
following additions; 1. Screening to be provided along the West side of
S.W. 72nd Avenue (from Hunziker to a point approximately 100 feet South of S
