RESOLUTION NO. 79--_qj_
A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE CITY SEAL
WHEREAS an official seal of the City of Tigard has been prepared
for the City by Richard Thompson, and,
WHEREAS Richard Thompson has granted to the City all of the legal
rights arising out of the creation of the seal, for the City's exclusive
use, reserving no right, authority, or interest to himself, and,
WHEREAS the City Council has examined the proposed seal and
approved it,
NOW, THEREFORE, .IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the attached seal,
designated "Exhibit A," is hereby adopted as the official seal of the City
of Tigard.

Background City - Denotes neighboring Portland on the other side of
the mountain.
Foreground City - Symbolize the City of Tigard.
Trees in City - Represents that Tigard is a city in harmony with
it's natural environment.
Background mountain -Mount Hood, symolize the State of Oregon
Triangular symbol - Unites Tigard's past, present, and future with
the State of Oregon.
