Dear Community Member:
We need your help. We are in the process of revitalizing the Neighborhood Planning
Organizations (NPO). In the past when we have asked, you have offered your time and we
? ' have appreciated your commitment. Now we are asking once more.
Why are we asking for your help? Well, we are charged with responsibilities by state
agencies and local. officials to accomplish certain tasks related to planning in this
community. There have been significant changes in relation to each NPO area and we need
`w•,4' to have you lielp us redefine your intent. We have the "Housing Implementation Plan"
ready for your review and comment. We would like to get to know you, and to hear your
opinions on matters which directly effect the livability of your community.
Membership will be on a voluntary basis. Each NPO will be comprised of twelve (12)
f` members selected by the Planning Commission and approved by the City Council. From the
membership a chairperson and secretary will be elected. You will find enclosed a
t petition for membership which requires the signatures of fifteen (15) persons from
your particular NPO area. We have also included a map outlining these areas. Please
complete the petition and return it in the stamped envelope included. If you are unable
to serve please pass this material on to a neighbor.
In checking our records we find that very few previous members are still "active", so
we are asking everjone to "update". If you have questions, or comments please call me.
We want to work with and for you to plan this community for the benefit of us all.
