RESOLUTION No. 78-:M
A RESOLUTION OF THE TIGARD CITY COUNCIL CONFIRMING ADOPTION OF PLANS FOR THE
TRAFFIC SYSTEM MANAGEMENT PROJECT (T.S.M.) FOR S.W. PACIFIC HIGHWAY AND AUTHORIZING
THE OREGON DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (O.D.O.T.) TO INITIATE REQUEST FOR
APPROVAL OF PROJECT PLANS.
WHEREAS, the City Council has received and reviewed plans for—the—T.S.M.
Project improvement for S.W. Pacific Highway; and
WHEREAS, the City Council feels there is great need for improvement of-the
flow of traffic on S.W. Pacific Highway; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has held meetings with O.D.O.T. staff and
concerned citizens regarding this project..
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE TT.'RESOLVED BY THE.TIGARD CITY COU14CIL THAT:
Section 1: The T.S.M. Project for improvement of S.W. Pacific Highway be adopted
per Plan 3-A with the following additions or modifications:
a. Change the area between the 217 overpass and S.W. Greenburg Road per
O.D.O.T. recommendations to include redoing the raised median strip
between Hall & Greenburg, add a third lane in the southbound lanes,
eliminate the left turn only lane at S.W. Hall Blvd. from the north
bound traffic and :reconstruct radius on Hall and Greenburg for
right-turn movement in the south bound lanes.
b. Realign S.W. Walnut Place with the intersection of S.W. Walnut Street.
c. No demonstration median be developed across from the Watkins Development.
d. Restripe the intersection at S.W. Johnson & SX. Main Streets.
e. Leave the signal light at Garrett Street as pedestrian activated
synchronized with a new signal light at S.W. Park.
f. No change be made to the 72nd Avenue intersection.
