ANNEXATION PETITION
A RESOLUTION OF THE TIGARD CITY COUNCIL INITIATING A REQUEST FOR ANNEXATION TO THE
CITY OF TIGARD OF LANDS DESCRIBED HEREIN AND REQUESTING FORWARDING TO THE PORTLAND
METROPOLITAN AREA LOCAL GOVERNMENT BOUNDARY COMMISSION.
A Resolution initiating annexation to the City of Tigard, Oregon, of the
territory bounded by a line:
A parcel of land in the Northwest quarter of Section 13 and in the Northeast
quarter of Section 14, Township 2 South, Range 1 West, Willamette Meridian,
Washington County, Oregon, being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of said Section 14; thence South, along
the East line of said Section 14, a distance of 802.25 feet, more or less; thence
West, 620 feet; thence South, 682.75 feet, more or less; thence East, 620 feet, to
the East line of said Section 14; thence South, along said East line, a distance of
436.10 feet, thence West, 295.2 feet; thence South, 295.2 feet; thence East, 295.2
feet, to the East line of said Section 14; thence South, along said East line, a
distance of 423.7 feet, to the quarter corner common to said Sections 13 and 14;
thence East, 82 feet, more or less, to the Westerly right-of-way of the Oregon
Electric Railroad tracks; thence Northeasterly, along said Westerly right-of-way a
distance of 2065 feet, more or less to a point on said Westerly right-of-way;
thence West, 274.93 feet; thence North, 455 feet, more or less; thence West, 293.7
feet; thence North, 434.5 feet; thence 4Jest, 265 feet; thence North, 440 feet, to
the centerline of S.W. Durham Road (F.A.S. 622); thence West, 757 feet, more or less,
to the Northwest corner of said Section 14, said point being the point of beginning.
WHEREAS, annexation to the City of the territory so bounded would constitute
a "minor boundary change" under the Boundary Commission Law, ORS 199.210 to 199.510;
and,
WHEP.EAS, by authority of ORS 199.490(1) (a) the Common Council of the City
may initiate annexation,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TIGARD, A
Municipal Corporation of the State of Oregon, at a Regular Session held on the
R 7h day of. ,,r r , 19—7 R , that;
Section 1: The Council, pursuant to ORS 199.490(1)(a) hereby initiates proceedings
for annexation of the territory to the City.
Section 2: The Council hereby approves the proposed annexation and requests the
Portland Metropolitan Area Local Government Boundary Commission to approve
it.
Section 3: The City Recorder is hereby directed to file a certified copy of the
Resolution with the Commission at once.
