RESOLUTION OF THE TIGARD CITY COUNCIL CONSENTING TO THE ANNEXATION BY
THE TIGARD WATER DISTRICT OF CERTAIN LANDS LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY OF
TIGARD.
WHEREAS, the Tigard Water District isP etitionin

NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Tigard, Oregon:
(1) By adoption of this resolution consent to the
annexation of certain parcels of land, as described on
the attached Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof, by
the Tigard Water District in conformance with
O.R.S. 199.515.

TO: PORTLAND METROPOLITAN AREA LOCAL
GOVERNMENT BOUNDARY COMMISSION
We, the undersigned, constitute the owners of
one-half the land area of the property described in
Exhibit "A", tax lots which are described as follows:
Map 1S 1 33A: Tax Lots 400, 500, 501, and 600
Marls 1 33D: Tax Lots 100, 400, and 401
Map 1S 1 348: Tax Lot 400
We desire to be annexed to the TIGARD WATER
DISTRICT, a district operating under ORS, Chapter
264.
A map is attached, marked Exhibit "B", showing
the affected territory and its relationship to the
present district boundaries.
The annexation constitutes a minor boundary
change under the boundary commission act and should
therefore be considered by the Boundary Commission,
and after study a final order should be entered by
the Boundary Commission.

III. REASON FOR BOUNDARY CHANGE
A. ORS 199.462 of the Boundary Commission Act states: "when reviewing
a boundary change, a boundary commission shall consider economic,
demographic, and sociological projections pertinent to the proposal,
and past and prospective physical developments of land that would
directly or indirectly be affected by the proposed boundary change."
Considering these points, please provide the reasons the proposed
boundary change should be made. Please be very specific. Use
additional pages if necessary. Some of the water wells are RoinQ dr and
or polluted. The City of Tigard annexed this are$ by Boundary Commission
Order #9559 dated August 25, 1976, This annexation will complet-n the
full range of public services to the area, including improved fire pro-
,tection.
B. If the reason is to obtain specific municipal services such as
water service, sewerage service, fire protection, etc. , please
indicate the following:
1. Proximity of facilities (such as wat, - mains, sewer laterals
etc.) to the territory to be annexed. (Please indicate location
of facilities--for example: 8" water main in Durham Rd. 500 ft.
from east edge of territory.) A 12-inch main is located at 121st and
Scholls Ferry Road. An 8-inch main is located at 135th and Walnut. 6"
mains are located at 128th and !Catherine, end also, Summercrest Drive.
