RESOLUTION NO. 74- &-1'
RESOLUTION OF CITY COUNCIL ACKNOWLEDGING RECEIPT OF TRIPLE
MAJORITY ANNEXATION AND RECOMMEND FORWARDING TO PORTLAND
METROPOLITAN AREA LOCAL GOVERNMENT BOUNDARY COMMISSION.
WHEREAS, the City of Tigard has received and reviewed a
petition for annexation of the lands described on the attached
Exhibit "A" to the City; and
WHEREAS, the petition has been processed in accordance with
the procedures established by the Portland Metropolitan Area Local
Government Boundary Commission; and
WHEREAS, the petition meets the requirements of the triple
majority annexation statute
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED: The Tigard City Council a^knowledges re-
ceipt of annexation petition as attached hereto and made a part
hereof and recommends it be forwarded to the Portland Metropolitan
Area Local Government Boundary Commission for hearing and adoption.

EXHIBIT "A"
That portion of land in Section 11, Township 2 South, Range 1 West,
Willamette Meridian, Washington County, Oregon, being more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at a point, in the North line of said Section 11,
which bears West 654.72 feet from the Northeast corner of said
Section; said point of beginning also being a point in the
centerline of 40 foot wide County Road No. 430 (S.W. McDonald
Street); thence running West, along the centerline of said County i
;.. Road, a distance of 566.96 feet to the Northwest corner of that
tract of land conveyed to Myrtle C. Neal by deed recorded in Book
297, on Page 209, Deed Records of said County; thence South, along
the West boundary line of the said Neal tract of land, a,distance 1
of 731.3 feet to the Southwest corner thereof; thence South 890 1
40' East, along the South boundary line of the said Neal-tract
of land and continuing along an Easterly extension thereof, a
distance of 1072.9 feet, more or less, to a point of intersection
with the West right-of-way boundary line of State Secondary
Highway No. 144 (40 foot wide S.W. Hall Blvd.); said point of
intersection also being a point in the South boundary line of
that tract of land conveyed to Evelyn & Blucher Yates, in
February, 1936, by Washington County Sheriff J.W. Connell, as
acknowledged in said County Deed Records; thence North 120 36'
West, along the West right-of-way boundary line of State Secondary
Highway No. 144, a distance of 420 feet, more of less, to a point
of intersection with the North boundary line of the said Yates
tract of land; thence ,+Test, along the North boundary line of the
said Yates tract of land, a distance of 421.3 feet, more or less,
to the Northwest corner thereof; said Northwest corner of the
Yates tract of land being a point in the East boundary line of
that tract of land conveyed to Katherine R. Ryan et. el. by deed
recorded in Boos 315, on Page 197, Deed Records of said County;
thence North 00 22' East, along the East boundary line of the
said Ryan tract of land, a distance of 319.44 feet to the point
of beginning of this description. Containing 13.50 acres.
