RESOLUTION OF CITY COUNCIL OF TIGARD, OREGON
FOR PURPOSE OF INITIATION OF MINOR BOUNDARY
CHANGE BY ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY
( WHEREAS, the lands hereinafter described are contiguous to the
t, corporate boundaries of Tigard;
WHEREAS, Section 199.490 ORS as amended by Section 14,
Chapter 462, Oregon Laws 1971, authorizes the governing body of a
city to initiate proceedings for minor boundary changes as in
Section 199.415 ORS defined; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tigard, Oregon finds
that it is consistent with the legislative policy pronouncements of
said Chapter 199, Oregon Revised Statutes and in the public interest
that the Metropolitan Boundary Commission be requested to conduct
proper proceedings to accomplish the annexation of the following
described lands of the City of Tigard, and that the boundaries of
the City of Tigard be expanded to include the hereinafter described:
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Tigard, Oregon:
(1) That proceedings for a boundary change through annexation to
the City of Tigard are hereby initiated pursuant to
Section 199°490 ORS as amended, of the lands described.
As set forth on the attached sheet headed
"EXHIBIT "A"" and by this reference made a part
hereof commonly referred to as Parcel Vill
(2) That the Boundary Commission is hereby requested to forth-
with initiate and conduct all necessary and proper pro-
ceedings to change the corporate boundaries of the City
of Tigard to include said lands.
(3) That the C?.ty Recorder of the City of Tigard is hereby
authorized and directed to forthwith file a certified
copy of this Resolution with the Boundary Commission,
