Ordinance No. 89-08 1 CITY OF TIGARD, OREGON t ORDINANCE NO. 89-- 01 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TMC 10.16.051; PROHIBITING; THROUGH TRUCKS ON PORTIONS OF PFAFFLE STREET, SPRUCE STREET-, PINE STREET, OAK STREET, 72ND AVENUE, AND LOCUST" STREET; REVISING TRUCI{ RESTRICTIONS ON 78TH AVENUE; AND FIXING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, TMC 10. 16.051 establishes the Tigard streets where through truck traffic is prohibited; and WHEREAS, certain streets in the South Metzger area are subject: to through truck restrictions established by Washington County; and WEREAS, the South Metzger area has been annexed to the City of Tigard; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to continue the existing truck restrictions in order to provide traffic safety in residential neighborhoods and to protect existing street pavements. THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: TMC Section 10.16.051.(2), designating the streets or portions thereof where through truck traffic shall be prohibited, is hereby amended by adding the following: "(n) SW Pfaffle Street, from SW Pacific Highway to SW Hall x Boulevard; (o) SW Spruce Street, from SW 72nd Avenue to SW 78th Avenue; (p) SW Pine Street, from SW 71st Avenue to SW 72nd Avenue; (q) SW Oak Street, from SW 71st Hvenue to SW 72nd Avenue; (r^) SW 72nd Avenue, from SW Oak Street to SW Spruce Street; (s) SW Locust Street, from SW Hall Boulevard to SW Greenburg Road Section 2: TMC 10.16.O51(2)(g) is hereby amended to read as follows: «(g) SW 78th Avenge, from SW Pacific Highway to SW Spruce Street;, Section 3: This ordinance shall be effective 30 days after its passage by the Council, approval by the Mayor, and posting by the City Recorder, ORDINANCE NO. 89— Page 1 _ - PASSED: By Ld1_t��(�US vote of all Council members present after y�being read by number and title only, this /nt-� ., day f�y =atherine �vheatley APPROVED: This 441 day of ` Q�� 1999.
